With 330km biking trails ranging from beginner to the crazy – the Never End Trail is hard to beat!
220km hiking trails including culinary mountain trails with 11 mountain restaurants.
Mountain lakes – there are 3 lakes in the locality – Lake Cauma is a few minutes by bus or car is a similar to a Caribbean sea with is turquoise crystal clear waters. Or Lake Cauma surrounded by forest or Laax Lake a few minutes walk from the lake. All the lakes offer swimming, boating, paddleboarding. All lakes have cafes.
Also worth a mention is the Swiss Grand Canyon or the Rhine Gorge. It is one of the most spectacular landscapes in Graubünden. In the gorge you can experience pure adrenalin whilst river rafting. Or a more sedate approach is to view the gorge via one of the many viewing platforms.
The Pinut Via Ferrata is the oldest surviving via ferrata in Switzerland, fortunately it was completely restored a few years ago! The adventure takes you through caves and over ladders and stairs to face vertical rock faces. Not for the faint hearted!
Summer for children
Laax is an ideal place for children with so many activities on offer in a relaxed safe environment. There are many playgrounds by the lakes or in the forest, lots of easy walking through the forest or mountain slopes on the chalet’s doorstep.
There are kids clubs for younger children at the Ami Sabi Summer Wonderland or for children over 6 they can learn many new exciting skills at Freestyle Academy.
At Rocks Resort there are lots of activities – archery, trampolining, scooting / skateboarding or biking on the ‘Urban Surfwave’ or up the mountain there is a Ninja course complete with a skatepark, pump track, air bag. All exciting adventures to keep everyone entertained.
